If you are a new RV owner, one of the most difficult things is to know what RV accessories are a must for your RV or camper. You can ask your friends who already have RVs with them. But all of them suggest different accessories out of which some are not at all important and often a personal preference. To help you out with your new RV, we have prepared an article with must-have accessories for your RV or camper.
Must-have RV Accessories
Whether you are a weekend RVer or a full-time RVer these are the must-have accessories for your RV.
Instant Pot:

Instant Pots have become a must-have accessory for every new RVer who does not want to skip home-cooked meals. With the help of Instant Pots, you can make some delicious stews, roasts, rice soups, and many more. You can also use this instant pot as a pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice cooker, and even use it as a yogurt maker. Some of the newer models even double as an air fryer!
Solar panels:
The main reason for RVing is to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and to enjoy a peaceful environment on the roads. Life on the open roads is a thrilling experience but it also needs some preparation especially in emergencies like the, almost inevitable, breaking of your generator. This will make you stuck somewhere without power. Solar panels are your best backup plan. These will help you to charge your electric gadgets when you need them the most.
Dehumidifiers:
Dehumidifiers will play an important role when you are traveling to southern parts especially during the muggy summer months. There are a lot of advantages to a dehumidifier outside of just getting rid of water from the air. It will be more comfortable to stay in your RV with an RV dehumidifier. Also, they will remove the musty smell coming from your RV or camper. It also reduces the drying time of your laundry and prevents the food from getting moldy or stale.
Leveling blocks:
Sometimes you will park your RV in places where the ground is not level. This is where leveling blocks can seriously help out. With the help of these leveling blocks, you can park your RV in almost any place you want.
Coffee makers:

Some people can’t start their day without having a cup of coffee. If you fall in this category you 100% need a coffee maker. There are a lot of coffee makers available on the market, some more compact and travel-friendly than others. I recommend something like the Aeropress coffee maker since it is easy to travel with, and actually makes a great cup of coffee.
Nothing will be greater than having a cup of coffee and watching the sunrise over a grassy meadow or an open valley.
Surge protectors:
Surge protectors play an important role in your RVs. Having electrical power in your RV will be a great deal because you can stay wherever you want without looking for campgrounds that have an electrical supply. But it is very important to make sure that your electrical systems are protected.
The surge protectors will play an important role in protecting your RV electrical systems. The surge protectors monitor the amount of power coming from the outlet and ensure that there are no harmful effects on your RV or camper due to sudden power spikes or other electrical issues.
RV GPS:
You may be wondering why you need an RV GPS Navigation System while pretty much every smartphone comes with a built-in GPS. This is because Google Maps does not always think that you will be in an RV and not geared towards your actual needs here. This is where RV GPS comes into play.
These are very great for large vehicles like RVs. These devices will take you on the routes according to the length, height, and width of your RV. For example, normal roads with low bridges will be avoided by these devices as your rig cannot pass through them.
Two-way radio:
There are many advantages of having a two-way radio in your RV. You can keep track of your kids who were playing somewhere near the campground or you can communicate with your partner driver who was coming in another RV. These two-way radios will be great where there is limited service. But if you are buying a two-way radio you need to keep an eye on battery life, range, and warranty.
